Many guests have made the most of us being located in such a tranquil place to practice Yoga, or try a new workout in a new environment. Why not find a cosy spot to read that new book you’ve been looking at for weeks? Feel free to make as much use of our lush gardens as necessary (inner calm not sold separately).
Get active through walking around the Scottish Highlands. There is a network of trails leading up and around the mountains, lochs, glens and coastline. If you want something more of a challenge, take park in the Lochalsh Dirty 30 Challenge, which is easily accessible for those staying at Otterburn House.
Loch Duich is the perfect place for the aspiring photographer. With breath-taking scenery, and a vast variety of birds and wildlife, there’s plenty to ‘focus on’. If you are more the artistic kind, sit in our garden and capture the magic, by pencil or canvas!
Situated right on the Loch side, Otterburn House is the perfect location for a wide range of water based activities. Get back into nature with a swim in the Loch, or relax with a spot of fishing. Many guests also enjoy bringing their own equipment to go Kayaking, Canoeing or Paddle Boarding.
Ideally located between Shiel Bridge and The Kyle of Lochalsh, Otterburn House is nearby to many great attractions. Eileen Donan Castle, Glenelg to Skye Ferry and the Falls of Glomach are just a few.
There is nothing more wondrous than looking up to see a clear sky full of stars. An Otterburn House the show starts, when the sun is going down.
Our dark skies will reveal the Milky Way, Constellations, Asterisms (pattern of stars) and meteor showers, much of the nights sky wonders are visible with the naked eye.
